So I have decided to use my Idiot of the Day posts to wage a different war on idiocy.
Barebacking. For those not in the know… barebacking is essentially unsafe sex. I have grown tired of defending the gay community and their right to equality. But the fact is there is a significant amount of gay men who are not only participating in barebacking.. and I am not referring to those who have been in a committed monogamous relationship. I am talking about those who bareback with multiple sex partners.
I consider those kinds of people contributors to murder. They are (more than likely) spreading the HIV/AIDS virus and making the hopes of finding a cure more difficult because who knows how many strains of the virus have been created as a result.
This is the same community that has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS. They were once the leading force to finding a cure and stopping the spread of the virus. Now they have been lured into a false sense of security thinking the recent slate of drug cocktails and such will keep them safe and secure.
The gay community needs another wake up call. They need to see the truth of the consequences of their actions. If you do not think unsafe sex is not rampant in the gay community… go to the M4M site on Craigslist… do a search for “bareback”… and you will see exactly what I am talking about.
If you are one of them.. Im going to point you out to the entire world and hold you accountable. Wake up or get ready.
A perfect example (BUT NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR EASILY OFFENDED) of just how dangerous this behavior has become, is this idiot who admits he’s HIV positive and insists on barebacking.
