Florida 60
Mizzou 63
There is one word that comes to mind after last nights game vs. Mizzou. Finish. The Gators had this game signed sealed and nearly delivered until the final 10 minutes of the game. They were out defended and out rebounded. Inexcusable and even the team will acknowledge that.
“If we can’t close out games, it’s going to continue to haunt us,” Rosario said.
Boynton had a chance to bury a 3 pointer to tie up the game in the last few seconds, but lets face it.. this is not Boyntons fault this game was lost. This game was lost because the Gators were outplayed. Give Mizzou credit, they are tough at home and played a great game and closed it out. They earned that win.
But its time for the Gators to learn from this loss and move on. They face Arkansas, who was the only other SEC team to defeat the Gators, Saturday in the O-Dome at 7:00 pm on ESPNU. If losing to Mizzou, SEC title and their future tournament hopes wasnt enough motivation, the Gators should want a bit of revenge on the Hogs.
The Gators have no room for error if they want to be a top seed during March Madness. Here is the Gators remaining schedule:
2/23 Arkansas
2/26 Tennessee
3/2 Alabama
3/6 Vanderbilt
3/9 Kentucky3/13-17 SEC Tournament
